Consider what a garden sounds like – long and short I’s, soft S’s and H’s, perhaps? Using Hyacinth or Narcissus, rather than flowers gives the feeling of a quiet morning in the garden. Choosing the right words based on sound can add subtle layers of meaning, tone, and texture to our writing.
