Aptly named Ode to Joy this concert will move you to your core from its loud and dramatic opening with Verdi’s “Force of Destiny” to the emotional Song of Hope by Price, and finishing with the transcendent power of Beethoven’s immortal 9th Symphony, culminating in the beloved “Ode to Joy”, performed by the full orchestra and chorus. Our Maestro’s careful curation of pieces aimed at celebrating the Joy of our shared humanity, is a fitting season finale for a season aimed at elevating our audience, musicians and community. When to Arrive: Doors open one hour before the performance; most people arrive 40 minutes early. Concessions are available before the concert and at intermission. Dress Code: Wear what you like; dressing up is optional. General Guide for Applause: Clap for the Concertmaster, Conductor, and after each piece.
