KAFM Presents Jeff PLankenhorn in The Radio Room
Jeff Plankenhorn plays a soulful, distinctly Austin brand of roots rock that, over the past several years, has gained him a devoted national following and a seat among the very best contemporary Americana songwriters. His confident, catchy-as-hell fourth studio album, "Sleeping Dogs" was released to rave reviews (Rolling Stone Country, the Boot, Twangville, among others) and spent a good chunk of 2018 on the Roots Rock and Americana radio charts (#5 and #44). The four-piece band that bears his name has become a favorite on the festival circuit, scoring spots at Old Settlers Music Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival, Telluride Americana Music Festival, and Austin’s annual New Year's Eve blowout at Auditorium Shores. music starts at 7 pm, so you can enjoy a picnic dinner. Wine is available from Two Rivers by the glass or bottle. Tickets in advance are $20 online - artcenterguild.org. At the gate, $25. Another option is to buy tickets for all five concerts. If you can’t make it to a concert, tickets may be used for another. So, you can use all five for a single concert; two for one concert and one each for three others; or any combination that adds up for five. Just let us know of your plans! (Exception, tickets for the last concert in September cannot be used for next year’s series.) All proceeds benefit The Art Center of Western Colorado.
