Christine Feller will guide participants through creating an oil painting that is inspired by themes such as: Painting the Masters, Painting a Song, Painting Geography, Words to Paint By and Painting a Mood. The themes will be rotated per session. Anyone may join, whether an expert, beginner or somewhere in between. Personal style is encouraged. The Art Studio is intended to be a time for relaxing and letting creative juices flow. All painting styles can be entertained, including realism, expressionism, minimalism and abstract. A session in KAFM’s Art Studio may not be enough to complete a painting, but rather a jumping off place for inspiration. Completion can be accomplished on a participant’s own time and convenience. For those wanting to delve more into the world of art, practical advice will be shared, like basic supplies needed to start, setting up, cleaning up and entering shows and/or galleries.
