The story On Christmas Eve, young Clara receives a magical nutcracker that leads her on an enchanting journey. After a fierce battle with the Rat King, the Nutcracker becomes a prince and whisks Clara away to the Land of Sweets, where they are welcomed with dazzling dances from around the world. All performances are under two hours including a 20 minute intermission. Opportunities for photos and to meet the cast follows each performance at no additional cost to our community. Colorado West Ballet (formerly CO West Performing Arts Company) is a 501(c)3 company established in 2022 to bring more professional performing arts to Western CO and surrounding rural communities. Professional company artists from around the world have relocated to beautiful Grand Junction to reside and dedicate themselves to their artform for our community. Parent/Child Dance

4:00pm-6:00pm, Lincoln Park Barn

This event is a holiday dance for parents to enjoy with their kids. There will be carnival games, henna, photo ops, face painting, a raffle and food more...0 trucks. There will be a box set up for kids clothing and toy donations for kids in need this cold winter season, and part of our proceeds will go towards making sure that box is full. Cost is $10 per parent and 1 child and $15 for multiple children.
