Classical Guitar Meets West African Music

A groundbreaking musical iconoclast known for founding genre-defying ensembles, Gripper has collaborated with musical heavyweights including Ballake Sissoko, Toumani Diabaté, American cellist Mike Block, and Australian classical guitar god John Williams. Having graced world stages from Cape Town to Vancouver and played storied venues from Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall to the Kennedy Center to Carnegie Hall, Gripper's one-night appearance for an intimate show in Paonia in between Denver and Miami dates is one not to be missed.

Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation. The Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter-composer has created an more...0 enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. His latest pop solo album was released in 2023 to rave reviews and sold-out performances. He released his first Christmas album in 2024 and last Fall recorded a LIVE album slated for release in 2025 with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Kennedy Center in DC where he served for eight years as the first Artistic Advisor to the NSO. He currently tours as a pop artist, while also performing with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras. A New York Times Best Selling author and former podcast host, Ben is also working on new compositions for film, tv and theatre. He also frequently guest stars in films and TV. In 2022, Ben launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled “Keys For Kids,” which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that offer free or affordable piano lessons to school-age children from economically-disadvantaged households. And he continually advocates for improving public policies for the arts and arts education on the national level as a member of Americans For The Arts and the Arts Action Fund.

Join RiversEdge West and Rimrock Adventures for a relaxing day on the water during more...0 our "Raft the River" fundraiser on August 23rd from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Launching from Rimrock Adventures in Fruita, CO, and taking out at the Loma Boat Ramp, this river float trip offers a unique opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the Colorado River while contributing to its restoration. Our expert guides will accompany you and offer insights into the vital work of riverside restoration in the Grand Valley. Following the float, indulge in a brunch catered by Café Sol and enjoy bloody marys and mimosas while mingling with fellow river enthusiasts (from ~11:30-1). We'll raise a glass to the success of our mission and have a chance to win prizes at Rimrock Adventure's charming riverside venue. We provide everything; just bring yourself! We encourage you to wear a Hawaiian shirt! All ages and all humans are welcome. Tickets are $130 and include the float trip and equipment, brunch, drinks, and entry into a prize giveaway!
