WINTERSTART CROSS COUNTRY SKI RACE

held on Sat., Dec. 4 at Skyway on Grand Mesa. There will be a 5K classic race at 11 AM followed by a 5K freestyle race at 12:30 PM. Register on line at gmnc.org, $20 for GMNC members, $25 for others. All ages and abilities are welcome. Info: call 314-814-3187 or go to www.gmnc.org. This is the opening race in the 5-race Empowered Energy Grand Mesa Nordic Race Series.

The 2021 Parade of Lights will take place on Saturday, December 4 beginning at 5:00pm.
Note on Parking: On November 19, 2014, City Council approved a ban on parking on Main Street during the Parade of Lights. This is primarily in the interest of safety, though visibility on the parade route and a reduction of exhaust fumes will also be improved. Parking will not be allowed along the parade route as of 2:00 p.m. on Dec. 4. Any vehicles remaining along the parade route will be towed to a lot a few blocks away, where they can be retrieved at no cost to the owner. Please park on a side street or in the parking garage at 4th and Rood and walk over to enjoy the festivities!
