The concert is rain or shine and tickets are non-refundable. If you need to exchange tickets or coordinate with pod-mates. Please bring your own lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on. Lawn chairs in the back, blankets and low-rider festy chairs up front please... and be sure to wear your mask and practice safe social distancing. We will have food from the amazing underdog cheese food truck and Pali Thai. Evolve wine will also be pouring their delicious wines. To add more local love, Still house string band will also being playing an opening set.

Because of the crowded and athletic nature of this event, as well as the large number of children that regularly attend, we’ve decided that more...0 it’s safest and in the best interest of children and all participants to be virtual superheroes this year! We’re excited to bring even more superheroes all across Colorado into the virtual race, costume and photo contests, and fundraising activities this year! We know a “virtual run” is a new and strange concept for a lot of people so just have fun with it as we make the adjustment this year. Running down the street in a superhero costume will definitely brighten someone’s day! It is also a great opportunity to run the race “with” your friends and family members who do not live in the Roaring Fork Valley. You could turn this race into a competition with your running club, softball team, book club, coworkers, and old friends you haven’t seen in a while. Your participation in the CASA Superhero Run benefits CASA of the Ninth. CASA helps recruit, train, and support Court Appointed Special Advocates and provides the professional staff and resources they need to advocate powerfully for the most vulnerable children in our community. Event details and schedule: New event this year: 10K for those of you looking to double your fun from previous years Schedule of the week: • Saturday, September 26 – Sunday, October 4: Run, run, run! Submit your race time to be added to the unofficial leaderboard for the race you registered for: 10K, 5K, or 1-mile Kids Fun Run. Because race times cannot be verified, there will not be official race winners this year. However, everyone who submits their race time before 8:00pm on Sunday, October 4th be entered for the 5K, 10K, and Fun-Run doorprizes. To submit your time, take a screen shot of your time and email it to casaoftheninth.org or text it to 970.581.3933. Include your name, race distance, and date of run/walk. GRAND JUNCTION ELKS LODGE FREE PAINT RECYCLING ROUNDUP When: Saturday, September 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Where: Grand Junction Elks Lodge, 249 S. more...0 4th St. Drive-through entrance on 3rd and Ute (west-side Elks parking lot). Paint recycling is free, but your cash or check donation will support local youth activities. Drop off your paints and stains without having to get out of your car! This event will be COVID compliant (masks and distancing). Products accepted are acrylic, latex, and water-based paints and stains. Original containers must have labels in 5-gallon or smaller containers and must not be leaking or empty. We cannot accept oil based paints, aerosol/spray paint, alkyds, lacquers, polyurethanes/urethanes, paint thinner, cleaning agents, or anything flammable Recycle your unused, unwanted and old latex paint for free. Clean out your garage, keep paint products out of the landfill, and support local youth.
