Please join Grand Mesa A Cappella Chorus/Sweet Adelines at Barnes & Noble at the Grand Junction location for our yearly fundraiser and free more...0 holiday concert. Barnes & Noble is sponsoring our fundraiser event on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 10 am to 7 pm. There are so many wonderful gifts to choose for your friends and family! Chorus members will be present and will give you a special coupon/barcode to present to the cashier when you are ready to make your gift or personal purchases. A percentage of the sales made on December 7th will be donated to Grand Mesa A Cappella Chorus to assist us with our yearly expenses. Our FREE Holiday Concert will start at 2 pm. Triple Play Records is set to host Record Store Day Black Friday 2025 starting at 10am on Friday November 28th with hundreds of limited, more...0 one-of-a-kind independent record store exclusives ONLY available at your local record store. These releases are available for the first time only on Friday November 28th, worldwide. Customers who come early will receive limited edition Record Store Day promotional merch with purchase while supplies last. John Tonic from Tonic Selects Sound-System will be spinning records all morning and early afternoon. Rhyan Montgomery, our artist for this year’s RSD BF 2025 poster, will be in attendance signing limited edition prints of the poster. Giselle Genova, our window artist, will also be on attendance. Hawaiian Street Food a local food truck will be set up out front serving breakfast and lunch. Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally. The first Record Store Day took place on April 19, 2008. Today, Record Store Day is celebrated at independently owned brick-and-mortar record stores around the world. Black Friday has always marked the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season. Traditionally, Black Friday has been about super-cheap prices on mass-produced goods and primarily takes place in malls and big box stores. But the folks at RSD really like the idea of a shopping season, especially when at its heart, a way to show the people you like that you like them. Shopping at an independently owned business is like a gift unto itself, so RSD Black Friday was created.
