WATTS Up?
Watt's Up?
Recently, as part of our ongoing pursuit of a stronger presence in our community, The FCC has approved an increase of our signal from 16 to 300 watts. Elsewhere on our website, we've told you why KAFM matters to this community and presented the details of our capital campaign to increase our signal.
We think you will see that this project is visionary and entrepreneurial in terms of its goals and benefits, but quite modest in terms of expenses. It is focused on achieving the desired results of enhancing our reach and mission without frills or extras.
We hope you will take a few minutes to look over the budget, and find that this next step in KAFM’s growth and service to the community is worthy of your support. KAFM is proud of what we have accomplished together with so many thousands of supporters from every part of our community. Our commitment to the Grand Valley is what drives our mission every day.
KAFM will complete the funding of the WATTS Up! capital campaign by the end of calendar year 2010 and will begin construction and implementation in the spring of 2011.
Your consideration and support of this project will help lay the foundation for a new era of service and benefits to the community and will enable KAFM Community Radio to provide vital resources to an even greater number of residents of the Grand Valley.
