Radio Rapture is a veritable bouillabaisse of music to make you move. Veering sometimes wildly between old school funk, new indie rock, a dash of World, Jazz, Americana and Hip Hop and the 5 secret spices that is sure to make you forget the work day and realize the weekend starts tomorrow afternoon.
My love affair with music began sometime in the hazy memories of childhood. Mother singing, sibling’s music, whether Cream and Hendrix or the Carpenters and the Jackson 5, drifted through the house; later explorations through the public library’s vast record collection and tuning to terrific radio out of Pittsburgh built an appreciation for music in all its forms.
Currently listening to: Toubab Krew, Kaiser Chiefs, Blitzen Trapper, Nat King Cole Remixed, Common, Girltalk, Jeb Loy Nichols, Hindugrass, Soul Coughing, the Avett Brothers, the Wiyos and recently rediscovered Clifton Chenier.
