I LOVE programming Straight Ahead Jazz! My heart and soul drive what I pick for the night. I like to start out the show with upbeat, toe-tapping, dancing, hopping-around pieces, and gradually get mellow and dreamy as the show progresses. I really don't know how to categorize what I play -- instrumental and vocal, traditional and modern. I'm partial to fiddle, sax, piano and organ jazz.

My favorite jazz is gypsy jazz, Django Reinhardt, Pearl Django, Faux Frenchmen, etc., and vocalese acts like Manhattan Transfer, Harmonious Wail, New York Voices, etc. I love a wide variety of musical genres, including Americana, world, blues, classical -- and I LOVE Broadway music!
