TIED TO THE TRACKS -- Duncan
Noon to 3 pm, Alternating Saturdays -- Blues/Rock/Americana
I try to play music that feels good and helps you along when you are doing your projects, running errands or playing in our wonderful town. I play blues and '70s rock, and throw in some Americana. At least half of the music I play comes from the “new” rack at the station; my show’s motto is “shut up and play music.”
As a Grand Junction native, I cringe at the memories of radio here during the '60s and '70s. Since then, I have been to the top of many mountains and seen the depths of the darkest places and ended up back here in the desert oasis that is Grand Junction and KAFM. I am inspired by the great cynics of the world, and by great music.
Currently listening to: Peter Green, Dave Alvin, Popa Chubby, Jackson Brown, Jeff Beck, Steve Earl, Steely Dan, the Subdudes, Wilco, James McMurtry and anything printed before 1975 (otherwise know as “sappy pappy crap”).
