Recent Playlists

A rhythmic mix of different genres of jazz, including contemporary, straight-ahead, fusion, Latin, world and blues, and featuring artists young and old, famous and emerging.

I was on KAFM's founding board of directors, and my law firm was one of the station's earliest capital contributors and underwriters.  I not only love the diversity of music that is played by the station, but the station's support of other cultural activities in the Grand Valley.  I am currently on the Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors, which is overseeing the various downtown improvements.  I am also trying to jump start the city's development of Las Colonias Park on the south downtown riverfront, the central feature of which would be a 2,500-person amphitheater, which would allow Grand Junction to host major outdoor music festivals.  Please contact me if you would like to support that initiative.

My favorite jazz artists include Van Morrison and Norah Jones (vocals), Frank Vignola, Pat Metheny and Jeff Golub (guitar), Gene Harris and McCoy Tyner (piano), Jimmy Smith and Reuben Wilson (Hammond B3), Charlie Hunter and Christian McBride (bass), Stanley Turrentine, Grover Washington and Chris Potter (saxes), Freddie Hubbard, Randy Brecker and Roy Hargrove (trumpet), Dave Weckl and Billy Cobham (drums), and Regina Carter, Jean Luc Ponty and Mark O'Connor (violin).  If you like these artists, you'll love my show.
