Everyone I've ever known who has had an interest in music has inspired me by their (sometimes passionate) love for their personal music history. Starting in the womb, continuing through both my older brothers, into theater music, film soundtracks and beyond. I owe a great debt to KERA public radio in Dallas/Fort Worth and WFUV in NYC. Lots of what I love started with them.
Currently listening to: Some old '60s music I recently bought on long-playing record, including Glen Campbell, Andy Williams, Spike Jones and Frankie Laine. I would recommend new CDs by They Might Be Giants and getting out to see live music, like Robert Earl Keen.
