May 10

Present: Barry Barak, Bruce Bonar, Sarah Lee Marshall, Gretchen Reist-Henderson, Craig Roberts, Angie Salazar, Jen Taylor, Julia Hall, Guy Stevens, Ryan Stringfellow, Peter Trosclair. Not present: John Anglim, Dianne Dinnel.

  1. Staff Reports: Guy Stevens is on board as Development Director. Ryan has been promoted to Station Manager. Jon Rizzo becomes Program Director as well as Music Director.
  2. The meeting called to order a 6:02 (again without gavel).
  3. Minutes of the March 8, 2007 Board Meeting were approved.
  4. Sarah Lee Marshall and Angie Salazar were elected Directors by the membership at the annual membership meeting in April.
  5. Officers were elected for the coming year: Barry Barak, President; Jen Taylor, Vice President; Sarah Lee Marshall, Secretary.
  6. Bylaws language regarding membership votes was discussed. The revised Bylaws will be voted on at the next Board meeting.
  7. Healthy Community:
    • Barry, Dianne, Sarah and John will attend the June 19 meeting of the Human Services Council.
    • Dianne is a possible connection to the Mesa State Nursing Program.
    • Other potential contacts were discussed, including Treehouse and the upcoming Grand Junction Master Plan revision.
  8. There were no Board Governance topics discussed.
  9. The Underwriter/Major Donor party scheduled for June 14 has been moved to August 9.
  10. A suggestion was made to include a reference to the website on the Entertainment Calendar.
  11. The meeting adjourned at 7:13PM (gavel-free).
