Alcohol inks are very intense water color pigments based in alcohol. Unlike high rag content watercolor paper, Yupo paper is actually a non-porous recyclable plastic. Carol Ann will guide students through the process of applying an unusual medium to an unusual surface to render a variety of effects (wet on wet blending, wet on dry spotting, color separation and integration) and produce coherent, vibrant images.
This class is fun for all levels of art experience and the inexperienced. Students will start with simple abstracts and progress throughout the day with more detailed work.
