Women In Construction Week

Women in Construction (WIC) Week will be celebrated by the Western Colorado chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction with a member recognition meeting and mayor’s proclamation. The focus of WIC Week is to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry. WIC Week provides an occasion for NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry.

The chapter’s monthly membership meeting will take place March 4, 2013 at Grand Vista Hotel at 2790 Horizon Drive in Grand Junction. Networking begins at 6:15 p.m. followed by dinner. The program will feature Linda Patterson, CRIS of Moody Insurance. Ms. Patterson will speak on the basics of the commercial insurance packages. This will include the types of coverage available and what factors into the rates. She will also address tailoring a package according to your specific business. Finally she will provide a brief recap of personal insurance coverage available, such as homeowners, auto, recreational vehicles, and personal umbrella policies. Bring your questions.
