To Rise, Make and to Vision: The 2013 Art Center Members Exhibit

For the second year in a row The Art Center is inviting all of its members to fill all of it's four galleries. Current members can bring in two recent works of art with an entry form and it will be a part of our largest community exhibit of the year.

It is a great time for artist to really experiment and decide what works are the most important to them without worry of being accepted or rejected by a juror. The Center has the opportunity to see what their members are doing in their studios. Artists of all ages and backgrounds have chosen the center as a great place to make and display their creative projects. So let's have another killer Members Exhibit.

The evening will start out with exhibit and award sponsorship recognition. Robbie Breaux will be playing piano in the Atrium Gallery and Kyle Harvey's band will be playing in Studio Colorado. Bartenders for the evening will be the dynamic duo of former Executive Director, Dave Davis and Curator, Diana Woods Director of Education, Exhibitions and Public Relation. It will be a Members Exhibit and opening to remember.

In addition to the music event, the public, as well as participating artists, will vote and decide which works will have the honor of Best of Show ($350), First Place ($250), Second Place ($150) and Third Place ($100). The Awards will be announced on Second Saturday February 11, at noon.

The entry for The Art Center Members' Exhibit is on the Art Center website www.gjartcenter.org. This exhibit is open to all current members of The Art Center. Drop off work with completed entry form on Tuesday, January 31, 2013. If this is not possible, please make arrangements to bring works in early.
