81501The John McConnell Math and Science Center and the Museum of Western Colorado begin their lecture series on Space: the Last Frontier. This opening lecture is "The Race to Space: U.S. Early Unmanned Missions." Our speaker is Allan Conrad, a Jet Propulsion Laboratory retiree who worked on flight projects throughout this era. His presentation will provide insight into the technical and human components of these exploration efforts which set the stage for the USA becoming the leader in robotic space exploration.
