A true introduction to what Sara considers the Queen of All Media, Oil Painting. In two wild and crazy days, you will not only gain a clear understanding of the tricks of this particular trade, you will lay brush and paint to canvas enough times to get a good feel for what oil paint can do. The course will introduce supplies, safety and storage issues, brushes, palettes, painting surfaces and additives. It will quickly move on to the basics of how to hold a brush, make a stroke, mix a color, use a palette knife, etc. While learning the basics, you will paint simple paintings from references provided.
Supply list available. Sara demonstrates over lunch, so bring a brown bag.
