Inhale knowledge about the air you breathe. The Western Slope Conservation Center has partnered with University of Colorado researchers to launch a year-long air quality monitoring program studying potential human health effects from oil and gas development in the North Fork Valley. On October 23 at 6:00pm, come to KVNF in Paonia to learn from the scientists leading this effort to monitor and analyze local air quality.
A research group at the University of Colorado, Boulder, has been working to make low-cost and easy-to-use devices that make the invisible, visible. Dr. Michael Hannigan and graduate students Joanna Gordon and Ashley Collier will lead a talk on a project underway that uses these new monitors to understand the air quality here in Delta County.
