Members of the GJSO join the Chorale for the Annual WCC Orchestral Concert entitled “Freedom” on March 18 and 19, 2013. Along with other works, this special program features Britten’s Advance Democracy and Hanson’s tremendous Song of Democracy to Whitman’s text for choir and orchestra. The following month, some members of the WCC will have the privilege of singing Song of Democracy again with me in Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center, NYC. It will be wonderful to perform it first here in Grand Junction for our own audience.
