Each month between September and June, the Rocky Mountain PBS Community Cinema presents free documentary films from the Emmy Award winning PBS series Independent Lens. "Soul Food Junkies" delves into the historical and controversial relationship between the African American community and soul food. "Soul Food Junkies" puts this culinary tradition under the microscope to examine both its significance and its consequences. How does our affinity for soul food and its dietary traditions affect the health of the African American community? Enjoy a wine and cheese reception at 6:30pm and a community discussion regarding the issues presented in the film following the screening.
