Brushing Up to Nature Exhibit at the Blue Pig Gallery
The show will run from September 1st through the end of October. Daniel will highlight the creatures and landscapes of our area. He has been painting full time for 28 years and his work has graced the cover of Cabelas Catalog, Ducks Unlimited Magazine and the Wildfowl Art Magazine. "It is the play of light and shadow on a canyon wall or the color of a juniper just before the sunsets that intrigues me", says Dan.
Also showing at the gallery through October is sculptor, Erica Van Wyk of Castle Rock. Erica brings new talent and creativity to the world of ceramic sculpture. From the beginning of her training in clay, she was drawn to the human figure. Her sculptures of women reflect both the struggles and joys that women today experience. Erica combines the figure with the textures, surface treatment and colors that mimic nature and textiles.
"This show is ideal for fall and its connection with our local wildlife and harvest season" said Tina Kleespies, Marketing Director. "Come visit the gallery and enjoy this tranquil exhibit".
The Blue Pig Gallery is the area's largest, privately owned art gallery and represents more than 30 area professional artists. For more details on the exhibit and the gallery visit: www.thebluepiggallery.com or call 970-464-4819.
