KAFM is proud to welcome Craig Childs to the Radio Room on Wednesday, July 30.
Childs recently returned from the first descent of a river in Tibet through a chain of gorges no outsider has ever seen. His team successfully navigated nearly 200 miles of uncharted water, a rollercoaster ride through Grand Canyon-style rapids and 18,000-foot mountains. In a powerful stage performance, Childs brings this journey to the Radio Room through images, video footage and masterful storytelling. This is an expedition into the heart of a remote Buddhist culture, a journey of mind, soul and raw, riveting force.
Childs has written several highly acclaimed books, is a commentator for National Public Radio's Morning Edition, and writes for the New York Times and LA Times.
