David Starr and Roy Martin have been making music on the western slope of Colorado for several years. With a blend of country/rock, blues, classic rock covers and original material, they play clubs, festivals and private gigs from Colorado to Arkansas and back sharing the stage with John Oates, Travis Tritt, Clint Black, Survivor, the Guess Who and a host of other great local, regional and national acts.
As a singer and multi-instrumentalist, David plays drums, guitar, bass and keyboards. His recordings to date showcase him playing all instruments and performing all vocals.
For over four decades, Ellen Stapenhorst has been entertaining audiences with her uplifting, original folk music, humor, and a love of bringing people together. Her rich and unpretentious voice (about which actor Tim Curry once exclaimed, "A damn fine set of pipes!") and her insightful, honest and well-crafted songs come from and go right to the heart.
Ellen recently released her fourth album of original music, Shifting Sand, and her songs range from personal and spiritual to social conscience and satire. Her song “Grand Junction” was featured on NPR’s CAR TALK and “Traveler” was on LA Acoustic Radio’s most requested list for two years. She has a lifelong commitment to finding common ground and protecting the natural world. Strong vocals, solid guitar playing and a good dose of fun are the hallmarks of her shows.
