KAFM is proud to welcome guitarist Jerry Hahn back to the Radio Room on Friday, May 29, at 7 pm.
Jerry Hahn has long been recognized as one of jazz's most influential guitarists. He became a major name in the 1960s and 1970s for his de facto contribution to the emerging fusion movement, and has remained one of its ardent promoters throughout his career.
Hahn is one of the favorites of a younger generation of guitarists, including Bill Frisell, Larry Coryell, John Abercrombie, Pat Metheny and Grant Geissman, all of whom have acknowledged Hahn¹s influence.
ROLLING STONE crowned Hahn "one the three or four best jazz guitarists in the country." Philip Elwood of the SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER said, "He is a giant." Noted critic Ralph Gleason said in the SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE: "Jerry Hahn could very well emerge as one of the most important contributors in all of contemporary music." And the NEW YORKER called Hahn "an amazing guitarist."
Find out for yourself what the buzz is all about. Join us in the intimate Radio Room for a night of astonishing guitar wizardry with the great Jerry Hahn.
This concert is sponsored by Robinson Brick and the International Guitar Festival.
